ASDA Website
Start off at the grocery section of the website at ASDA.com/groceries and you'll find a well structured website with the aisles easy to see. Register by entering your postcode to see if delivery is available in your area. If it the registration form is quick to enter and then you can start to shop.
Even though it is easy to use the links at the top to browse through the store this can be a slow process so we would recommend using the 'Find a list of products' link which is a bit hidden away in the top right of the screen. Here you enter your shopping list in one go, eg: eggs, milk, Ketchup etc - the search then comes back with a list of all the top products from your list which you can add to your basket really quickly.
Filtering your ASDA groceries shop online is easy. In each aisle you can filter the list of products shown by a range of criteria such as price or brand so you can quickly find your favourites. The website has quite a few good recipes too but you can't add the ingredients to your online basket very easily which is a real shame.
Otherwise the ASDA groceries website is, like the supermarket, no frills. But that makes for a really easy and quick online shopping experience. ASDA Offers
Of all the big supermarkets ASDA have the largest range of offers and you’ll find the same offers with ASDA groceries online. If you’re shopping on a budget go straight to the Special Offers aisle before you go anywhere else. You can then do your entire ASDA groceries shop from this page. It does take a bit of back and forth clicking but you would never be able to do a shop with only offers so easily in store. For each product you can also easily see the size of the offer, or if it is on one of their rollback promotions.
TOP TIP - See all Multi Buy Offers
When browsing the online store look out for products that have the offer marked on them in red eg '3 for 2'. Click on this link and you'll see all the products available in that promotion. Eg: you can see all the yoghurt flavours available in a Buy One Get One Free Offer.

ASDA groceries online should save you money straight away. We found that by shopping online you can see your running trolley total at all times. It makes it easy to shop on a budget and means no nasty surprises when you reach the online checkout!
When we tested ASDA groceries online they were running a special promotion guaranteeing that they would be 10% cheaper than the other big supermarkets. This is a great reassurance if you are shopping on a budget. We also liked the bundled products for different types of event such as kid's lunchboxes, birthday parties or bundled offers for a Saturday night in front of the television.
TOP TIP - Look Out for FREE Delivery Codes
Do a quick search online for ASDA voucher codes before you shop to see if you can find a discount voucher. ASDA often have free delivery codes in circulation which can save you over £5 on delivery.

ASDA Delivery
You can have your ASDA groceries delivered between 7am to 11pm Monday to Sunday but this does vary by store and you'll see the exact times when you checkout online. You can book a delivery in 2 hour time slots which costs between £3 and £5.50. Not the 1 hour that some supermarkets offer but generally most people find this OK. They also offer an 8 hour delivery for £2. We found that this wasn't worth it as it meant you could only use it on a day you knew you would be in all day. The great thing about ASDA groceries online is that they always have loads of delivery slots available, especially on Fridays and at weekends. Once booked your delivery slots is held for 2 hours which is plenty of time to do your grocery shopping.
We were impressed that none of our deliveries were late.

Substitutions & Missing Items
Substitutions are items picked by your ASDA groceries personal shopper if the item you added online is not available. We always recommend you switch on substitutions. They won’t always be right but having them is better than the driver turning up with nothing! Switching on substitutions is really easy – simply visit the My Account link at the top of the page. If the substituted item is of a higher value, ASDA charge you the lower of the two prices.
We found the number of substitutions to be average given that we placed many different orders for ASDA groceries each time. Most drivers explained when we had substitutions and in a few cases we gave them back to the driver who arranged a refunded.
ASDA Driver Friendliness
We think the friendliness of the driver is very important as you’re inviting them in to your home. Overall ASDA drivers were very friendly although they always seemed to be in a rush. If you want your delivery driver to drop off your bags and leave you alone then they are perfect but don't expect a long chat with them at the door!
Online Groceries – Your Rights
1) What’s a Guide Price? You’ll notice the price in your trolley is only a guide. This is because by the time your groceries have been delivered some offers may have changed or you may have ordered weighed items. No problem – just be prepared that the final price on your delivery receipt might be different. You can always send items back with the driver if you think the price change is too large.
2) If an item turns up damaged or with an expired sell by date / use by date you can give it back to your driver for a refund. If the driver has gone you can return the items to your nearest ASDA groceries store but we found that was usually too much hassle so if there was just the odd damaged item and the driver had already gone we simply put it in the bin and didn’t worry about it.

We are a group of 7 friends that live together in one house in London. We all work and have different shifts so we decided to start shopping online once a week. Everybody puts £10 and we buy the essential for everyone.
So we started buying from Asda because it was cheaper.
One day we booked a slot for 9pm. We were at home, near the door and we didn't hear the guy come so we still don't know if he really knocked or just pretended. After a while, I called Customer Service asking for our order. They gave me the phone number of the driver and so I called him.
He was SUPER rude, I was asking him why he didn't knock and if he could comeback because we were all waiting for the food and he HANG UP the phone!
My boyfriend called him saying that this is not the way of treating customers so he said that he wasn't coming because it was late and ask us to call Customer Service again. It was already closed!
Next day we called again and they said that the order was cancelled and we were going to receive the money back since we didn't get our order.
WE NEVER SAW THE MONEY AGAIN!
We called them many times, they said that probably the bank was blocking the money, we went to the bank and they were really surprised saying that they have nothing to do with that so we called ASDA again asking for the mone and nothing! This was 3 months ago!
They are the WORST EVER! DON'T BUY ASDA ONLINE!
Since then we buy from Tesco and we are really happy.
